Inaugural Gifts
0 Comments
Presidential inaugurations aren’t exactly gift giving occasions. That is, unless you are Barack Obama or Joe Biden. Both will receive Lenox hand-cut crystal bowls as their first official gifts from Congress. (Obama’s crystal features an etching of the White House; Biden’s shows the Capitol building. The eight-pound, $2,500 bowls were donated by Lenox.) But with ten days until the 56th inauguration, you might also consider presents for your favorite Obama supporters.

Give one of the luck charms that Obama carried on the campaign trail: a Metal Morphosis charm with the word “luck” on one side and Braille letters for “luck” on the other.

Visit a local Ben & Jerry’s ice cream scoop shop and give a pint or two of Yes, Pecan! inaugural ice cream. This inspirational flavor has “amber waves of buttery ice cream with roasted non-partisan pecans.”
