What Makes a Great Gift #1: It’s Delightful
0 Comments
When the wrapping clears, it’s a moment of joy. The gift brings out a smile, a laugh, even a cheer. The first hallmark of a great gift: the present delights the person receiving it. For me, I think of the first gift I gave my wife this past Christmas. It was a simple key chain shaped like a miniature wire whisk, acknowledging her love of baking. “That’s it,” she said, laughing. “This is all I wanted. I don’t need to open any more gifts.” Great gifts stir emotion; they evoke outbursts of happiness and grinning enthusiasm. And even a tiny key chain can inspire delight.
