5 New Year’s Resolutions for Gift Giving Guy
0 Comments
Happy New Year! Following tradition, I have made five blogging New Year’s resolutions to improve Gift Giving Guy in 2008.
- Resolved: More posts on “gifts for guys”
I use Google Analytics to monitor page views and track search keywords. Most keyword searches relate to “guy gift ideas,” and the number one label click is “for him.” With a blog name like Gift Giving Guy, it makes sense that many “guy gift” searches would land here. While this blog covers gift giving broadly, I will write a few more posts on finding great gifts for men.
- Resolved: More posts on anniversaries
Aside from the home page, the most visited post describes the traditional and modern anniversary gifts. Also, the number two label click is “anniversary.” To meet the need, I’ll offer more anniversary gift ideas in 2008. - Resolved: Seek a few more reciprocal links
Right now, I have only one site occupying the “links” section in the right column: Michael Webb’s The Romantic.com. Michael has graciously linked back to Gift Giving Guy. I’ll establish more reciprocal links to gift sites this year. - Resolved: Use more of Blogger’s new features
Blogger, my hosting service, had a busy year in 2007, introducing features like polls, video uploads, slideshows and Google gadgets. I will experiment with these Blogger tools and add some to Gift Giving Guy. - Resolved: Try different online stores for giftsI heart Amazon and would wear a t-shirt saying so. But Amazon Prime’s all-you-can-eat shipping tends to limit the number of e-tailers I use for online shopping. While I will keep tapping Amazon, I will also try different online stores in 2008.
